Introduction

Your Host Helper is a rental management company that manages nearly 300 apartments spread throughout France. They provide tailored hosting solutions that give guests hassle-free experiences and ensure high-quality experiences at affordable pricing. Your Host Helper was in need of a solution that would help them automate the many day-to-day tasks that go on in their operations. They searched for the right tools that would allow them to collect payments, personal information, and scanned documents prior to guests arrival–all while helping them automatically promote upsells in order to earn additional revenues. This is why they decided to turn to Duve, a guest management platform, to help them get everything they needed.

Key Challenges

  • No Upsell System in Place to Increase Revenue: Your Host Helper didn’t offer any alternative time for check-in or check-out requests, as well as, no transportation services to and from the apartments they managed. This was a common request from guests and a good way to boost revenue. 
  • No Automated Check-in Before Arrival: Your Host Helper staff had to personally arrive at each location to collect guest payment for the apartment and didn’t have a way to collect payments online.This took up a lot of time for both staff and guests. They also needed a system in place to be able to collect identification documents before guest arrival. 
  • Unorganized Task Management: With staff spread throughout the country it was difficult to manually assign and track each of the assignments for each apartment. They needed a way to quickly assign and track tasks to various staff members in one place.  

Duve’s Solution

Your Host Helper managed about 200 apartments that were spread very far apart from one another, therefore they required a solution that would help them easily coordinate arrivals of guests and manage tasks, while staff was limited. Duve was able to provide the tools that would allow them to collect important information prior to their guest’s arrival such as payments, identification documents, and arrival times and methods. Additionally, Duve enabled the use of smart upsell tools to recognize when and how guests are arriving to the properties in order to offer them additional paid check-in methods and transportation for arrival.

The Results

Your Host Helper boosted their ROI by more than 624% from Duve’s upsells, and was also able to completely automate the entire check-in process. Your Host Helper’s guests also significantly benefited from Duve’s digital guidebook and pre-scheduled messages which would explain to them how to arrive at the apartment, where to find the keys and other important arrival details. 

  • Upsells that Boost Revenue: Your Host Helper experienced an immediate boost in revenues from offering upsells such as paying for earlier check-in, late check-out and transportation services with Duve’s taxi service integration.
  • Online Check-in System: With Duve’s online check-in, Your Host Helper collected approximately 1,000 new email addresses and document scans from guests monthly. They also use Duve’s pre-scheduled messages to automatically send SMS and Whatsapp messages with arrival and apartment access details to guests that have completed the online check-in process and finished scanning all the required documents. 
  • Seamless Task Management: Tasks are more easily managed through Duve. Your Host Helper’s staff are able to log into Duve and see which apartments they’ve been assigned to and for which tasks. They can easily track each task’s progress and also see the impact their work has on the guests by accessing internal reviews that are collected through Duve’s pre-check-out.
